Dehydration Due To Diarrhea

What is Dehydration?

Dehydration is a condition when a person lose too much water and salt from his/her body. Vomiting and diarrhea are common causes of dehydration.

Signs and Symptoms

  1. thirst
  2. less frequent urination than usual
  3. dark-colored urine
  4. light-headedness
  5. fatigue
  6. no tears when crying
  7. dry skin
  8. dry mouth
  9. dry tongue
  10. sunken eyes and cheeks
  11. irritability
  12. weakness
  13. dizziness

Aftercare Instructions

  1. Drink plenty of fluids, about 8 to 16 glasses of water per day in small frequent sips.
  2. Take frequent small sips of water or Hydrite Solution
  3. Eat Pretzels, crackers, bananas and apples
  4. Avoid the following:
a. fatty and highly seasoned foods
b. dairy foods
c. foods high in sugar
d. caffeine
e. softdrinks
f. alcohol
